Our Teachers
Music is personal — and so is teaching. Here’s a little more about the musicians behind The Music Garden.
Davina Baker
Davina is a warm, creative, and experienced music educator with a deep love of teaching and a strong foundation in classical performance, choral conducting, and primary education. She holds a Master’s in Classical String Performance, a Licentiate in Performance, and a performance diploma in piano. She is currently completing a second Master’s in Choral Studies through DCU.
In addition to her performance credentials, Davina is a fully qualified primary school teacher with classroom experience, giving her a unique ability to connect with younger learners and tailor her teaching to each individual’s personality and pace. Whether working with complete beginners, adult returners, or advanced students preparing for exams and auditions, she combines structure and clear communication with a nurturing, encouraging presence.
Davina has performed widely as a violinist and pianist and is also a trained conductor with a particular passion for making music accessible and meaningful. Her lessons focus not only on technical growth but also on fostering a sense of creativity, confidence, and joy in every student.
Enrien Lamcellari
Enrien Lamcellari is an accomplished cellist and guitar teacher with decades of experience as both a performer and educator. Originally from Durrës, Albania, he began studying cello at the age of six and went on to train at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, studying under the renowned cellist George Antoniu. He later became a member of the National String Quartet of Crete, performing throughout Greece, Albania, Spain, and Italy, and appeared as a soloist with the Greek Chamber Orchestra.
Since moving to Ireland, Enrien has become a familiar face in Dublin’s classical music scene. He served as principal cellist of the Dublin Symphony Orchestra for three years, performing major works such as the Dvořák and Saint-Saëns cello concertos, and has played as a guest with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. In October 2024, he appeared as a soloist at the National Concert Hall for Songs of Remembrance and Hope, a fundraising concert for Our Lady’s Hospice.
Enrien has taught at Newpark Music Academy since 2001 and brings a gentle, patient, and deeply intuitive approach to his teaching. Whether guiding a young cellist through their first notes or helping an adult guitar student build confidence with pop and acoustic styles, Enrien tailors each lesson to the individual. His students value not only his musical expertise, but also his calm encouragement, thoughtful feedback, and unwavering belief in their potential.
